The role
We are looking for enthusiastic, well-presented, and confident Graduate Consultants to join our team. Working in the Services and Support team, we will train you in all things Maximo to perform a variety of tasks using software tools that provide support to our clients.
This graduate program will support your learning of the Maximo Application Suite as a foundation for your career in software engineering. Maximo Consultants are globally sought after, and the skills gained in this specialised area are transferrable to other software development industries and software-related technical careers.
What does a Graduate Consultant do at BPD Zenith?
- Responds to software-related support issues from clients
- Ensures compliance with administrative tasks, including support logs, timesheets and expenses to support the company’s invoicing and payroll processes
- Contributes to the creation of client reports from Maximo-based data and prepare supporting documentation which needs to be delivered on time and accurately
- Assess service request steps and estimate timing throughout the client engagement
- In application installs and configurations, customisation and administration of client’s Maximo suite and associated add-ons, following 12 months of employment
- Interpret technical or functional specifications and generate desired outcomes for the clients
- Provides reporting requirements using SQL, Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT), and Power BI.
- Prepares accurate and well-written technical papers for technical societies, conferences, industrial publications and clients. This includes one blog per year.
- Professionally liaise with clients and maintain positive relations
- Assists colleagues or management with the preparation of technical recommendations, findings/solutions and presentations to clients
What you need for this role
- A tertiary qualification in IT or software engineering preferred
- IBM Maximo product knowledge is desirable
- Desire to obtain and maintain relevant Maximo certification within the first 12 months
- Experience working with customers in any setting (office based customer service, retail, service desk fetc) would be advantageous
- Knowledge or experience with Java / J2EE development work or projects
- Knowledge of experience using JavaScript or Python
- Knowledge or experience in writing complex SQL Statements
- Knowledge of experience in using Oracle and SQL Databases
- Knowledge of experience in reviewing and developing Functional Requirements and delivering technical solutions
- Advanced knowledge of Access and Excel
- Understanding of cloud platforms and services
- You must be highly motivated – a self-starter with pride in your work
- You may be required to travel where permitted
- You must be a team player, willing to contribute to improvements to our products and services
- The will to maintain current Maximo certifications within12 months of employment
- Excellent presentation and communication skills – both written and oral
- The ability to undertake a police check
