The opportunity - Flexible location across Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide
KBR delivers studies and leads the delivery of a range of important collaborative long terms programs and projects across Australia. Concurrently we pursue new opportunities that will bring great benefits our client’s customers and the broader Australian economy. In support of our commitment to deliver projects with collaboration, discipline, and professionalism, we are seeking the services of a motivated Graduate Estimator to share our journey and realise their own career progression.
Working within a collaborative team of Capital Estimators, Analysts and Program Intelligence professionals you will build your skills set by providing critical services to KBR’s broad client base. You will have the opportunity to grow and learn in a faced paced environment, providing value across the project lifecycle. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic recent graduate to progress their career working with some of the best in the profession.
The core responsibilities will include:
Undertakes capital estimates, independent cost verification or cost assurance services for or on behalf of KBR for clients
Quality and currency of labour norms and unit rates used in capital estimating (data analytics performed by others)
Working within existing Processes, guidelines and templates
Contribute to KBR and client Continuous Improvement Roadmaps
Support home office as required for proposals and general estimating support and education
Who you are
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following experience and/or qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management (preferred) or Engineering with up to 1 year experience
Ability to read and interpret construction schedules
Detail orientated
Passionate and effective team player
Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines and organise personnel to meaningfully contribute
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Innovative and proactive in approach to work
Able to develop and maintain effective, durable relationships with internal stakeholders
Knowledge a wide range of market available estimating software
Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint
