The OpportunityWe are now looking for a full-timeGraduate Mechanical Engineer based in Milton, QLD. This role will involve occasional travel to Sydney for projects and professional development.
This role encompasses design and engineering mechanical systems for large scale projects across sectors including health, transport, commercial and aviation, reporting to the Engineering Manager, and involves a range of project and risk management duties.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop mechanical system design from concept through to construction drawings, including:
- Zoning Diagrams
- Heat Load Calculations and Ventilation System Sizing
- Ductwork and pipework design mark ups
- Quality control of drawings
- Equipment selections and schedules
- Water and Air schematics
- Project reports
- Submitting engineering requirements on time and within budget
- Identifying project risks and ensuring compliance with the Building Code
- Applying and adapting new technology
- Conducting value engineering reviews
- Building relationships with clients and other key stakeholders
To qualify, you will need an engineering degree with a mechanical major. Candidates expected to complete their degree in the near future will also be considered.
As our ideal candidate, you will possess strong written and oral communication skills that will allow you to liaise and build relationships with key stakeholders and clients. Excellent computer skills are also required; proficient use of the Microsoft suite is essential, knowledge of the following packages are looked upon favourably, although not essential; Autodesk Revit, Carrier HAP, ACADS BSG Camel + and Bluebeam Revu.
We are looking for a motivated graduate who is eager to learn, takes a proactive approach to work and has the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
