Golding currently seeks GraduateMining Engineer for our Whyalla mining projects.
The successful applicant will have recently completed a relevant engineering qualification and possess a high level of communication, analytical, organisational and computer skills with a willingness to work on site with a highly motivated team. In turn, the incumbent will be provided with a challenging work environment with opportunities for promotion and personal development.
With recently renewed contract extensions, Golding can offer a wide range of ongoing opportunities. We pride ourselves on rotating our Engineers to encourage exposure to different projects, clients and experiences within Mining.
This is a residential role operating on a 8:6 roster.
Key role tasks:
- Assist with reports, schedules and plans in accordance with the site Production Plan requirements and client Mine Plan requirements;
- Daily input of data into Clementine for both Production and Maintenance;
- Work with your Manager to assist in the compilation monthly progress claims;
- Attend project management meetings;
- Processing invoices, timesheets and production reports;
- Preparing requisitions, purchase orders and goods receipts;
- Efficiently preparing and managing a variety of correspondence; and
- General administration duties for the project team.
Key capability requirements:
- Tertiary Engineering qualifications are essential;
- Ability to work closely with Supervisors as part of a cohesive team and work to the plan;
- Ability to foster strong client relationships;
- Strong communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal and the ability to interact and liaise with all levels including internal, external stakeholders and clients;
- Prioritisation and organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines and delegate effectively;
- Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Advanced MS Office skills are essential;
- Mine planning software is advantageous.
