Grange Resources is Australia’s most experienced magnetite producer from its iron ore mining and pellet production business located in the Northwest region of Tasmania.
We are seeking Graduate Mining Engineers to join our operations at Savage River.
Roster:
The role works predominantly a day shift roster of 8 days on 6 days off whilst working directly a as a part of the Mine Planning Team as well as 4/4 whilst gaining Mine Operations exposure and 7/7 whilst gaining Drill & Blast exposure.

Key Responsibilities in this role include:
- Assisting operational and other planning team personnel with implementation and compliance to plan, gathering and analysing data for all short-term planning activities and operational activities including daily pit visits and participation in key meetings.
- Liaising with technical, operational and maintenance staff to guide allocation of resources to achieve the mine plan.
- Supporting in the development of the rolling weekly plan.
- Assisting in continuous improvement and process development projects.
We are looking for:
- Bachelor qualifications in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline
- Exposure to an Open Pit Mining environment would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and reporting skills
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Exposure to mine design software would be an advantage
- Full Current manual driver’s licence
