Adaptability Therapy is Southeast Queensland’s leading clinic and community based multi-disciplinary allied health team. We are committed to providing comprehensive services including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology to children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities.

We provide flexible services either in the community or at our modern clinics in Graceville & Coorparoo.

Our 2024 Graduate Program 

Rewarding opportunities are currently available for Graduate Occupational Therapists to join the Adaptability Therapy team in South Brisbane. 
This is a community and clinic-based role, working with a diverse caseload. Adaptability Therapy has a strong focus on genuine capacity building with individuals. 
No two days are the same and this role will engage your clinical reasoning skills and reward you with meaningful outcomes for clients. 
Along with supervision from Senior Therapists, you will be provided with operational and clinical support from Clinical Leads, Team Leads and a well-resourced administration team. Your Team Lead will have your back and guide you as you take the first steps in your career. 
We have opportunities available in our Paediatric and Generalist (Adult) service. For interested and passionate individuals, progression opportunities within our Mental Health service are available as you continue with professional development.

About the role
  • Provide functional and psychosocial assessments using a range of tools and approaches 
  • Design therapy plans that are holistic, centred around a person’s aspirations and define clear outcomes 
  • Work proactively to adapt and maximise each person’s environment, reduce barriers, support the development of skills and identify new ways to engage clients and support them to participate and thrive 
  • Guide equipment decisions relating to daily activities and assistive technology (where appropriate, or lean on our in-house experts for support with this) 
  • Contribute to shaping and growing the service within a dynamic environment 
About you 
  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain upon graduation)
  • You hold or are willing to obtain a current Working with Children Check, a NDIS Worker Screening Check and/or Police Check prior to commencing, as required 
  • You are looking to work independently and part of an MDT
  • You have a demonstrated commitment to professional development
  • You have a full, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence and reliable access to a registered, fully insured vehicle.
