A Grain Quality professional, who is excited by the opportunity to work as part of a team building technology to advance the grain industry through the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. You have a great eye for detail and possess the ability to conceptualise the implementation of a modernised process to classify pulses and grains.

Cropify is an AgTech startup based in Adelaide, South Australia, founded in 2019. Our product will revolutionise the global grain supply chain, by eliminating subjective testing from the current classification process using artificial intelligence and machine learning. We are excited by the challenge of leveraging new technology to modernise the grain supply chain.

The role
• Provide input into hardware design, review and testing to ensure product market fit
• Classify pulses and grains in line with the relevant standards
• Build the library of contaminant weed seeds and other foreign materials
• Research standards and operational processes in target markets
• Maintain a network of industry contacts in all the relevant market locations
• Work with customers and industry bodies to evolve grain classification processes for the adoption of an objective solution
• Create and implement quality control procedures for grains and pulses
• Oversee grain classifiers and liaise with third party providers
• Work with NATA and other external stakeholders to obtain appropriate accreditation
• Assist in creating training material for product training
• Maintain all samples of grain and pulses
• Ensure all samples are stored appropriately and easily accessible

Qualifications and experience
- Minimum 2 years; pulses and grain classification in a laboratory / bulk handling entity
- Bachelor of Agricultural Science or similar
- Exceptional organisational skills.
