Ground Crew Training Planner

The Role:

As a Ground Crew Training Planner your role will encompass the coordination of all aspects of the Ground Crew training roster production and day of operations recovery including initial, upskilling, transition, and recurrent training programs along with the management and maintenance of associated qualifications and documentation.

The position is based in Brisbane Head Office and, you will work closely with the Leader, Workforce Planning. 

As a Ground Crew Training Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • The holistic forward planning of training and scheduling for all Ground Operations crew, both Airside and Guest Services
  • Understand upcoming recruitment and upskilling opportunities in mainline ports and forecast training based on resource allocation
  • Liaise with Resource Analysts and Planners, The Training Academy and airport management to roster training within timeframes, regulatory procedures, and budget constraints
  • Create a proactive, consistent, and accurate training plan for mainline airports with optimal use of Ground Operations Trainers and Airport Line Trainer resources whilst maintaining operational resilience
  • Respond to daily operational disruptions affecting training and assist in recovering training in a timely manner
  • Participate and input into regular Ground Crew Training Standards and various Training Meetings

What you need to be successful:

  • End-to-end planning, scheduling, and reporting experience, ideally in training planning or demonstrated success in a similar planning role
  • Excellent communication skills with a variety of stakeholders across all levels with the ability to build relationships through collaboration and consultation
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage time and resources effectively
  • Planning, analytical thinking, problem solving and decision-making capability
  • Adaptability in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory, industrial rules and enterprise agreements to ensure strict compliance
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
