About our Client
Rio Tinto operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. About the role
This role will provide a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work as part of a field-based team of dedicated technical officers. You will support the safe execution of hydrogeological field monitoring, which is integral to the ongoing management of water related risk to our operations in the Pilbara.Â
You will be working an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, reporting to the Senior Field Hydro.
You will be responsible for:
⢠Collect quality water level, field chemistry and lab chemistry data and maintain the databases in which these data are stored
⢠Install and maintain telemetry units
⢠Arrange and oversee timely dispatch of samples to accredited testing laboratories
⢠Maintenance and care of field equipment to enable the safe and efficient collection of data and samples
⢠Support scope rationalisation process by making recommendations based on on-the-ground experience
Skills and Experience
Minimum 12 months experience in Hydrogeology or Water resource evaluation
Current First Aid certificate
Current 4wd training certificate
Current C Class Drivers Licence
