Our Group Accounting team is responsible for the consolidation and analysis of the Wesfarmers Group accounts, management and improvement of finance systems, accounting and taxation matters for the Corporate Office, as well as providing a source of expertise for the Wesfarmers Group.
What you'll be doing
As a key finance partner to our businesses, you will:
- Provide accurate and timely management, reporting and financial analysis of Wesfarmers' Group results and forecasts to the Board of Directors and Executive Management
- Work closely with key stakeholders to provide insights that enable them to make informed and better decisions
- Support the annual budgeting process and bi-annual financial reporting requirements for the Wesfarmers Group
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting and other internal processes
- Previous experience working in management accounting and / or financial analysis, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
- Experience in the collection, analysis and interpretation of financial data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- A naturally inquisitive and analytical mind, and strong ability to problem solve
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding level of attention to detail
- A proactive, self-starter attitude and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce or a related discipline and have completed CA/CPA accreditation
- Experience with accounting consolidation systems such as OneStream
- Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI would be a plus)
