THE ROLE:

Reporting to the the Chief Financial Officer this position responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the information technology (IT) delivery performance and position of the Group, as well as managing the day-to-day operation of the Information Technology division.

The position will have a key focus on driving optimisation in IT business systems, methodologies and improve the sophistication around decision support systems to support business initiatives. The Group Business Systems and Technology Manager will work closely with the CFO to ensure that these services are provided to a standard acceptable to stakeholders.  The position will actively contribute to the governance of the business information services and provides support to the internal stakeholders, in the development and delivery of key strategic initiatives.

This position will be responsible for the overall management and effective delivery of a range of IT technical support services to internal customers and for the implementation of IT strategic policy, planning and processes within the Group.

A key outcome will be ensuring the effective engagement with, and delivery of IT technical support services including second and third level support activities, and for implementation of strategic IT initiatives into departmental initiatives and outcomes, including strategic direction, technical advice and policy formulation.

ESSENTIAL/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:

Degree qualification in IT and Information Systems

Experience in a senior position in information systems, ERP business systems (ideally Netsuite or Oracle), database administration, IT network and infrastructure, management, including prior experience in a business of comparable complexityProven experience of leading an IT departmentExperience in IT infrastructure planning and development

Demonstrated ability to lead and assist individuals or groups in the achievement of strategic goals

Proven ability to impart information and communicate complex technical IT concepts in a professional manner and to a wide range of audiences, including the development of documentation to a high standard

Proven ability to lead and to contribute significantly to change processes

Proven ability for strategic, analytical, and innovative thought and action, and the ability to think laterally when analysing and identifying business solutions

Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of IT technical services, delivery processes, IT standards and methodologies to achieve high quality service outcomes

Experience in the use of technology and process improvement as a vehicle for reform and as a change agent in redeveloping business practices
