Group Claims Coordinator – General Insurance
Full Time (Hybrid work location)
Looking for a position within Insurance Claims that will keep you engaged, interested and surprised? A very exciting opportunity has just become available for an experienced insurance coordinator to assist our team at the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod and our churches to manage the variety of claims we have at any given time.
The position:
The purpose of this role is to liaise, interact and assist all internal and external stakeholders in respect of General Insurance claims management, including administration, coordination and reporting on insurance claims and related matters for The Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod.
Success in this role:
Management of a portfolio of general insurance-related claims (liability, professional indemnity, medical malpractice, industrial special risks etc.) end to end , including determination, assessment, negotiation and resolution.
Interpretation of policy wordings to assess indemnity and coverage.
Provision advise to insured clients on indemnity, liability, quantum, reserving and resolution strategies.
Liaise with various third-party providers, including solicitors, loss adjusters, insurance brokers and barristers.
Resolve insurance claims (both internal & external) within relevant church-responsible body service instructions, Synod Insurance guidelines, and delegated authority

Remuneration:
Remuneration negotiations with the successful candidate will be within the applicable remuneration range.
