Due to continued and exciting growth, Hickinbotham, South Australia's largest and longest-established residential building and development group, is seeking a Financial Controller to support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in managing all aspects of the day-to-day finance operations of the Group. The Hickinbotham Group incorporates several successful business units, including three market-leading building brands, large scale greenfield development, finance and national craft spirits.

This newly created role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will enjoy unparalleled access to learn from one of South Australia's most effective management teams.

Your primary responsibilities include:
Management of the finance function of the various business units within the Group
Assist in the delivery of the overall Group's financial performance.
Preparation of monthly finance board reports, including corporate governance documents to internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinating and continuously improving the budget planning, monitoring, and reporting processes to ensure the financial effectiveness of all business units.
Assist in evaluating merger and acquisition opportunities to consolidate, expand and maximise the Group's potential.
Provide corporate secretarial support.
Supporting the CFO in the day-to-day financial operations of all businesses within the Group, including day to day management of Accounting Team.
Attending internal and external meetings with executives.
Managing projects as delegated by the CFO to achieve specified outcomes.
To be successful in this position, you must demonstrate:
Admitted as a CA or CPA with relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance.
A minimum of five years of senior finance leadership role.
Related industry experience, including previous leadership roles within a professional services corporate environment, would be advantageous.

A proven ability to think critically, problem-solve and recommend common sense, practical solutions.
