We are looking for an eager Group Infrastructure Specialist to work as part of a specialised team focussed on supporting Global IT Infrastructure that is shared across the whole DPE group, ensuring networks, systems and platforms are consistently implemented, managed and maintained.
Qualified Infrastructure Specialists will have a strong background in IT Infrastructure including compute, storage and network management, identity and access management and enterprise business productivity platforms such as Office 365. You will also be tasked in providing exceptional IT Customer support across all markets working closely with local IT teams to ensure they can effectively access and utilise globally managed platforms.
The Group Infrastructure specialist will be engaged in many exciting technology project implementations, ensuring that the business requirements, policy compliance and technical outcomes are achieved to the agreed schedule. The role will in a team ensuring the group infrastructure is implemented in accordance with the requirements of each market whilst ensuring all systems are managed and maintained with appropriate controls as defined by IT and Information Security Team.
The role will also build strong relationships with the IT Cloud Engineering and Enterprise Architecture team and project teams for successful transition of systems from development into operations.
Qualifications, knowledge and skills:
Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Relevant Network Certifications
At least 3 years IT industry experience
At least 1 years experience in IT Infrastructure organisation (with experience within a large multi-market organization preferred)
ITIL foundations (preferred)
Agile/Scrum qualification (preferred)
Technical knowledge particularly in relation to Networking
Experience in Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange
Strong background in system Administration (Windows essential Unix desirable)
Experience with automation/configuration management.
Ability to use a wide variety of cloud services
An understanding of scripting (e.g. Powershell, PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
Proven working experience in the above fields including installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows/Apple based environments
Evidence of experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware)
Proven ability to successfully and efficiently monitor systems
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
