Join our Group Performance Analytics team and play a key role in providing valuable insights to improve performance and ensure balance sheet resilience through scenario analysis, stress testing, risk/return analysis and other quantitative modelling techniques.

Key responsibilities:

As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to express innovative ideas, work in collaboration with different CBA areas on multiple topics and the ability to grow into wider roles across the CBA Group, while delivering on tasks such as:
  • Modelling the Group’s balance sheet and profitability under multiple BAU and Stress scenarios;
  • Performing sensitivity analyses to different macroeconomic variables and business decisions;
  • Deep-diving in specific balance sheet components, working with and coordinating the input from other experts in the Group to produce detailed Group projections for the capital position, liquidity, credit losses or interest income;
  • Develop new approaches to predictive modelling leveraging Advanced Analytics techniques;
  • Build solid, automated processes to ensure execution efficiency and accuracy
  • Synthesise key insights in clear, simple and structured messages and charts to inform Senior Leadership discussions and decision making
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
  • Recent graduates of advanced degree and excellent results in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics or other scientific or quantitative finance qualifications
  • Outstanding analytical and numeracy skills
  • Interest in understanding the drivers of performance and risks faced by financial institutions
  • Have experience with one or more programming languages
  • Are critical thinkers with the ability to constructively challenge opposing views
  • Strong drive and team work
