At Shangri-La, The Marina, Cairns, we have an excellent opportunity for a Group Sales Coordinator to join our Sales and Marketing team.

You will be working closely with our Revenue Manager and Sales and Marketing Team to coordinate and oversee the administration for group bookings and sales support.

Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 18 function venues and extensive food and beverage facilities, the hotel is part of a leading international company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.

The Role

Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Undertake group reservation tasks such as actioning release backs, follow up deposit schedules and loading rooming lists
Providing support to Sales Managers
Working closely with clients and management of group files
Responding to sales enquiries
Ability to work under pressure and problem solve
Fast and accurate data entry with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to effectively manage your time and multitask to ensure deadlines and timeframes are met
Exceptional telephone technique and communication skills
Previous experience in a similar role
Experience using Opera PMS (preferred)
