About the Role
The groups program at Directions involves a mix of life skill development groups and social and community participation groups. The Groups Coordinator position is responsible for developing and coordinating these programs. This dynamic position’s aim is to develop suitable, contemporary and engaging programs that are aligned to help participants achieve their identified goals. Key to this position is to build and maintain strong relationships with participants and their families ensuring that a person-centred focus is maintained. Leading a dedicated team of Support Workers and Group Leaders this position is responsible for the planning and coordination of the groups programs ensuring budgets are maintained, participation is maximised and objectives are achieved.

About You
Ideally, the successful candidate will posses the following attributes:
- Experience in the development and provision of group or programs of services or activities;
- Experience in coordination of person-centred and relationship-based support;
- Experience in leading and motivating staff;
- Ability to provide services within budget and demonstrated ability to utilise budgets effectively;
- Up to date knowledge of the policy, funding and reporting environment for a not-for-profit organisation in the disability services sector;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage people from all backgrounds;
- Ability to promote, represent, advocate and influence in a complex and changing environment;
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Desirable).
