Manager/Coach
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Manager/Coach to be employed within one of Preston’s and Liverpool’s most well-established studios in its 10th year of business.
About Holeshot Fitness and Personal Training (HFPT)
HFPT has been servicing the Prestons and Liverpool areas for over 10 years, ensuring our clients' results through our strength-based small group training, personalized performance and nutrition coaching, and strong community atmosphere. We cover and provide a range of services related to Body Composition, Powerlifting, Strongman, and Athlete Development. We are looking to welcome a passionate Manager/Coach to help improve and develop our facility over the long-term.
About the role:
With the growth of our facility, we are seeking to employ a Part-time (Minimum 28 hours) Manager/Coach. You will be required to:
- Manage a team of coaches, including tracking KPI’s, facilitating professional development, and ensuring the highest level of service is being delivered.
- Oversee facility programming, including for our Small Group LIFT, PERFORM and SEND IT classes, as well as ensuring coaches are delivering safe and effective training and nutrition protocols
- Be responsible for sales, including prospect calls and member sign-ups.
- Track and manage client retention and attendance
- Create and execute sales/marketing campaigns
- Create and implement new programs/services
- Manage and create social media content, including collecting footage
- Risk management and equipment maintenance
- Run Small Group Training classes (up to 16 people per time slot)
- Deliver Personal Training services
- Program for both online and local clients, including strength, conditioning and nutrition prescription where appropriate.

Our employment package includes:
- Minimum 6 month employment contract
- 3 month probationary period
- Part-time employment minimum of 28 hours per week
- Flexible working hours
- $40-$45 per hour
- Includes 6.5 hours of Small Group Training Classes per week
- In-house training on relevant software
- Personal Training, Online Programming and Class hours (outside above) paid additionally
- Sales commissions for member sign-ups!
A successful applicant will have:
- Minimum 5 years experience within the fitness industry as a Strength Coach/Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor
- Experience managing a facility and/or managing a team of Coaches
- Sales Experience, ideally selling higher ticket price memberships
- Required Qualifications
- Certificates 3 and 4 in Fitness
- First Aid and CPR (Currently Valid)
- Desired Qualifications (Not Essential)
- Diploma in Fitness
- Powerlifting, Weightlifting, Strength and Conditioning, or other relevant performance-based additional education
- Related graduate and/or postgraduate education
- Nutrition-based qualification or education
- Pre and Post-Natal Exercise
- Experience using client/member management software (e.g. MindBody, Xoda)
- Extremely confident and experienced in social media marketing
- Experience using Google software, specifically Docs, Sheets and Forms.
- Confidence in delivering high-quality small-group training classes (up to 16 people)
- Confidence delivering 1-on-1 Personal Training, Online Programming, and Nutrition services, with a track record of results
- Confidence in demonstrating, prescribing, and coaching key strength-based movements including the Back Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift.
- Be personally experienced with and have a passion for strength training in any capacity
- Desired but not essential
- Be currently involved in a barbell-based sport such as Powerlifting, Weightlifting, Strongman, or CrossFit, at either a competitive or recreational level.
