Ravana Restaurant is a newly renovated restaurant which situated near the iconic Poverty Point, the site where gold was first found in Ballarat now seeking a dynamic, creative and career focused Head Chef, Senior Chef, Junior Chef and an Apprentice to run our Kitchen operations on a full time/part time basis. Ravana attracts a large number of local, state-wide, national and international visitors, so it is imperative that applicants for these roles enjoy working in a busy, team orientated kitchen environment providing high quality meals to all customers.

Reporting to the Venue Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen operation. You will have culinary flair as well as a motivating leadership style to support your enthusiastic team of Chefs.
You will also have:

• Previous experience in an a la carte and functions environment.
• A confident, modern and creative cooking style with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation.
• A strong understanding of food cost and control.
• Experience in month end stock take.
• A flexible approach in adapting to guest requests.
• Great communication skills and ability to train/develop a motivated cohesive brigade.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship, Graduate

Salary: $40,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
