We are seeking an experienced Head Chef for this busy property located in the Outback Whitsunday region of remote Queensland.
Situated in the spectacular hinterland, with beautiful creeks and camping spots, great fishing and watersports to enjoy on your days off. There is also a rich local history to explore.
Immediate Start
Package:
- $75,000 Starting Salary
- Free Accommodation + Duty Meals
- Hostel style - own room, shared amenities
- Five minutes walk from property
Duties:
- Hands on day to day management of the kitchen
- Work and oversee a team of 5-7 staff
- Stock ordering & stock control
- Hands on prep and cooking
- Design, plan & cost menus
- Liaise with suppliers and reps
- Ensure consistency and quality
Ideal Candidate:
- Team player with great communication skills
- Previous remote area experience desirable
- Be able to work at a fast pace and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to lead a team
- Great organisational skills
