I'm representing a worldwide developer and owner of renewable energy assets, with an impressive portfolio already in operation.
Job Summary
My client is seeking an experienced development profile to drive the acquisition of new renewable projects and manage/grow the development team. They require someone capable of conducting in depth diligence of wind/PV/BESS projects and then following through the financial stages to successfully acquire the projects. The client is also open to greenfield development if the right opportunity presents itself.
Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate potential renewable energy projects
Conduct financial analysis and modeling for project feasibility
Conduct thorough site assessments, including land and resource evaluation, to determine project feasibility
Lead and manage the acquisition / development process
Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including landowners, communities, government authorities, and regulatory bodies
Build and lead a high-performing development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification or relevant experience
Proven track record of successfully leading renewable energy project development
Strong understanding of project finance, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Knowledge of relevant Australian legislation, regulations, and permitting processes related to renewable energy development.
