An exciting opportunity is available to join the WA Data Science Innovation Hub team as Head ofCommunications and Engagement to enable the application of data science for the benefit of all West Australians. It is jointly funded by the Government of Western Australia's New Industries Fund and Curtin University.
This position offers flexible hours and working arrangements, with WFH options. Please note that long service leave entitlements can also transfer from the WA public sector.

As the Head of Communications and Engagement, your responsibilities will include:
- Plan, develop and implement communications strategies for the hub’s key programs and activities
- Research, write and edit communications/promotional material for a variety of audiences across a range of channels, including, print and digital
- Creatively use a variety of digital tools and media, including visual, to convey relevant messages and information for communication and marketing initiatives
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across industry, government, and academia to manage existing relationships and identify collaboration opportunities
- Develop and deliver marketing campaigns and strategies across multiple channels, including social media, email, and paid advertising channels
- A relevant degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related discipline and relevant experience
- Proven ability to plan, implement and evaluate communications and engagement strategies
- Demonstrated experience in managing digital communications channels and web content.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and constructively and to develop relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Demonstrated professional writing and communication skills, with experience in the preparation of clear, accurate and timely communication materials, targeted at a diverse audience.
- Proven experience implementing marketing campaigns and strategies across digital channels
- Graphic design skills (experience with Adobe suite) highly desired
