Head Of Manufacturing Operations

Our client is an industry leader in the design, engineering, and manufacture of advanced material technologies, providing solutions for over 20 years to industries such as Defence, Oil & Gas, and Mining.

As they head into 2023, our client is seeking a Head of Manufacturing and Operations who will be responsible and accountable for the manufacturing function across their state-of-the-art facility inclusive of production, process engineering, maintenance, quality, assets & facilities maintenance, and health & safety.

With a world class manufacturing plant at the heart, this role provides the opportunity for an influential leader to drive strategic optimisation and innovation through the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing and driving cost efficiencies throughout the production process and plant.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
As the Head of Manufacturing and Operations, you will be responsible for:

• Driving business improvement initiatives to optimise production output
• Implementing cost reduction strategies in all areas under control, to continually increase profitability
• Executing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet multiple deadlines and budgets
• Driving preventative maintenance processes to achieve high OEE
• Leading and mentoring Managers and Supervisors to drive lean manufacturing processes
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Team to facilitate business expansion
• Evaluating the challenges faced by the business and taking proactive action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
• Leading the implementation of and compliance with Quality, WHS and environment management systems and maintain external accreditations
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental concerns are prioritised and facilitated - driving continuous improvement in the Company's HSE culture

About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, WHS&E and quality processes
• Demonstrated history in providing strategic leadership in delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes, and systems
• Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level
• Ability to provide input on business strategy and provide insight into opportunities for innovation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
