The Role As part of the Senior Leadership team reporting into the GM Politix, the Head of Planning will lead strategic direction of planning and production, managing all planning functions across Politix. This role is responsible for day to day leadership of the Planning team, tactical and strategic business decisions, trading the business, budgeting, channel growth, trade plans, forecast reviews. Key Responsibilities
- Work with the General Manager - Politix and Senior Leadership Team to develop and define the vision, strategy and business plan to drive sales and market share growth for Politix.
- Influence product strategy in conjunction with the General Manager - Politix and by working with the Design team to deliver high quality, on brand product across the ranges.
- Ensure the range architecture and option plans are updated and followed by all merchandise teams.
- Work with Retail, Visual Merchandise and Marketing to ensure successful conversion of buying strategy to marketing & selling strategy in stores.
- Maintain key strategic working relationships with any external sales channel partners and manage the Merchandise cost centre in line with BGT's and agreed targets.
- Develop and manage the financial performance of the Politix business by category according to budget & forecast measured by Sales, BGP, Markdowns & Stock Management.
- Manage monthly forecast reviews by channel by division for Politix, driving productivity initiatives to grow sales and BGP, improve stock efficiency and drive profitability in all channels and categories, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing actionable strategies in response.
- Work with the GM Politix and brand executive to facilitate and drive a weekly assessment of the divisional performance & provide strategies on the actions required to maximise opportunities missed.
- Effect trading decisions through competitor and market analysis.
- Conduct PSR of our ranging and drive this process with key stakeholders in the business. Produce outcomes from these meetings for future ranges and product strategy and share learnings with the relevant teams.
- Managing the budgeting process to ensure all Sales and Merchandise related KPI's are created and in line with brand strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with the Head of Retail to drive sales performance in stores and manage store gridding and profiling with the planning team.

- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally from a Buying or Merchandise Planning background
- Experience in the luxury, accessible luxury/premium sector of the fashion industry
- Experience in accessories and/or design led brands
- Proven management experience and ability to lead and motivate teams
- Strategic thinking with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop a performance driven culture
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent organisational skills and deadline driven
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with strong business acumen, drive, knowledge of how to take a business forward
