Description: Full time, ongoing position - 38 hours per week (including weekday AM and PM sessions, Saturday mornings and target competitions)
Salary Range: Starting from $55,000-$60,000 + per annum (plus superannuation). To be negotiated with the successful applicant - dependant on qualifications and experience

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic squad coach at the Western Aquatic Academy. Long-term, full-time position. Anticipated start date - 30 January 2023.
Position Description:
- Coach, train and instruct sportspersons through ongoing observations/analysis to enhance further development/improved performance
- Plan and deliver an annual swimming program to cater for squad members of the Western Aquatic Academy swimming Team - from post learn to swim through to Age National competitors
- Coach and supervise swimmers at Open Water training sessions and competitions
- Motivate swimmers and supervise their practice sessions
- Mentor and assist Club coaches
- Market and promote the Western Aquatic Academy Swimming Team to encourage increased involvement and participation in competitions
- Promote and collate entries into Target/State and National competitions
- Keep accurate records of training attendance/performance
- Ongoing education/networking with Club swimmers and their parents
- Undertake continual professional development to build/develop teaching and coaching skills
- Attend target swimming meets/carnivals and liaise with coaches/parents/officials as required
- SCTA Member
- Performance/Advanced Coach (or a Development License coach with a minimum of 3 years' experience and a proven squad development record)
- Experience in Open Water Swim meets and races
- Competitive swimming background
- Strong track record of participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at National and International levels
- Ability to create, deliver, monitor, and review comprehensive coaching programs for a range of ages and stages of squad swimming
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to lead/manage teams
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, time management and reliability
- Sound administration skills

- Pool Lifeguard (desirable)
- Relevant human movement/physical education or similar tertiary qualifications (desirable) (AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience)
- You must have full-time proper working rights to work in Australia
