Your new role
You will be providing health, safety and wellbeing support, processes, advice and technical assistance to the Manager, superintendents, supervisors, employees and contractors.
Reporting to the site safety advisor some of your duties will include the following:
Monitor compliance of HSW operations work to the appropriate standards, systems, and processes.
Evaluate practices and procedures to assess risk and adherence to HSW legislation.
Conduct regular analysis of HSW data to proactively identify trends and recommend mitigating actions. This includes document governance.
Provide end of month reports on HSW relating to Rehabilitation work activities against the HSW business plan, including challenges and recommended actions.
Conduct follow-up action verification for control effectiveness.
Conduct workplace inspections, field leadership and critical control observations.
Provision of advice regarding the management of health and safety incidents, including providing information and support to enable external notification to regulators
What you'll need to succeed
Certificate IV or greater in the area of Occupational Health Safety.
incident investigation (or similar).
Senior First Aid.
WA ‘C’ Class drivers licence.
Risk Assessments, Hazard and Operability
Studies (HAZOP), Failure and Cause Analysis.
Confined space entry requirements.
