We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Part Time Health and Safety Advisor. (12 month Mat Leave contract)

Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all team members and visitors at the Welshpool site operate in a safe and productive environment.

This role is critical to driving a positive and engaging safety culture that is legislatively compliant while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the WHS Management system in the site.
• Provide WHS coaching and advice to management team members and all team members to improve safety culture and performance
• Liaison with Group HSE Team and other DC’s to deliver and implement Safety initiatives
• Injury Management – support team members through the injury management process, co-ordinate return to work plans in conjunction with the team member & operational team
• Implement Risk Management framework including completion of risk assessment and development of safe work procedures
• Oversee and coordinates incident reporting and management processes on site including leading investigations
• Coordinate and manage WHS induction program for the site ensuring all persons entering the site have undertaken the appropriate site induction
• Assist with facility maintenance and drives housekeeping standards

Ideally you will bring Cert IV or better in Workplace Health and Safety.
In addition, experience with a distribution center or warehouse environment will be highly beneficial.
