About the organisation
Our client is a global organisation specialising in the metals, energy and infrastructure sectors known for their commitment to innovation and sustainability. Due to the establishment of a new site in Adelaide, our client is seeking an experience safety professional to develop and implement a new system in line with the ISO45001 standards in preparation for an external audit in June.
About the role
Reporting to the Regional Manager Health and Safety, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of ISO45001 processes to facilitate a successful external certification audit. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Managing the day-to-day activities of the Health and Safety Management System;
Conducting regular audits to identify and address potential hazards and risks;
Developing policies, procedures, and work instructions related to health and safety;
Providing guidance and advice to the management team on health and safety matters;
Ensuring all employees are trained and educated on the Health and Safety Management System; and
Liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
About you
To be successful in his role, you will:
Be an experienced safety professional with strong systems experience;
Have high-level experience in the creation, implementation and management of all facets of AS/NZS ISO 45001 health and safety management systems;
Have the ability to work autonomously on a systems project;
Be able to travel regularly to Adelaide from Brisbane (or vice versa); and
Have great attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work autonomously and to meet deadlines.
