The role:
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Health and Welfare Services Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the management of the mental healthcare services provided to people in regional and rural areas by different service delivery models. You will oversee the company's operation, including the responsibility for ensuring different service delivery modes, and meeting its contractual and compliance requirements while fostering an environment of continuous quality improvement. This role requires mainly working around Dubbo and adjoining regional and rural areas. However, some areas of Upper Hunter and Central coast may be covered depending on upcoming and future projects. This role would need a dynamic and physically fit person who would be willing to embark on extensive traveling around regional and rural areas. This job may attract working outside the usual hours depending upon the workload and preparing to move within short notice.

Along with your passion for “Building a Healthy Community”, essential experience and attributes include the following (selection criteria):
- Relevant qualification in the field of Health & Welfare Services management.
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in this or a related field.
- Recent experience in this or related role.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team within a mental healthcare environment.
- Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with advanced reporting and writing skills.
- An understanding of financial management including budgeting and allocation.
- Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills and ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience dealing with complaints and incident management and achieving successful outcomes.
- Experience in dealing with new projects individually or in a team environment.
- Physically fit to travel long distances on land.
- Having an unrestricted driving license.
- Current Registration with the Australian healthcare management bodies.
- Clearance from Police and working with children.
Able to assist the Director in undertaking a Pilot project of establishing an aged care facility for Culturally and Linguistically diverse older people.
