The Position
St John of God Southeast Melbourne (SEM) includes 3 hospital facilities, Berwick Hospital, Frankston Rehabilitation Centre and the newly opened Langmore Centre in Berwick.
The Hospital has an opportunity available for an efficient and organised Health Information Services Clerk to join the team in the Health Information Services Department.
As Health Information Services Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of health records and providing an efficient service to all interested parties.
This position is offered on Casual basis.
The successful candidate will have:
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Previous clerical experience in a medical environment.
- Good computer/data entry and clerical skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands of organising and filing documentation and medical records on a daily basis.
- Confidence in communicating with other health care professionals, internally and externally.
- Commitment to ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work as part of a small cohesive team.
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Sound computer literacy, with the ability to data key accurate and efficient information.
