Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client’s Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.
The Role:
Joining us initially in the Perth CBD office, this role will be responsible for developing, strategising and implementing Health & Safety Plans & Policies. This position will work towards a long term goal of ideally transitioning to a site based role in the execution phase, mid to late 2024.
Design, strategy, and overall implementation of the Health & Safety Project plan
Liaising with client representatives, key internal stakeholders and regulatory representatives as required
Conducting governance and audit activities as required and compiling reports
Monitor and report on health and safety performance and compliance
Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies
Thrive with us! We hope you'll bring:
Minimum of 7 years+ experience in Senior Positions within Health & Safety Management
Ideal background would be at least 5 years spent in the Construction/Mining industry
Formal qualifications in OSH Management (Diploma or Degree), training and/or audit qualifications will be viewed as beneficial
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, policies, and best practices
Well experienced with the creation and implementation of health & safety management plans
A willingness to transition to a site role in execution phase, or ability to travel frequently to site
