About the role
The role of the Health & Security Assistant include patient care to wards as requested, transport of patients to wards and imaging as required by wheelchair or bed. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in de-escalation and aggressive situation for safety of patients and staff. Some shifts have the expectation of cleaning duties.
All training and education required to support the needs of this position will be made available to the successful applicant.
Where you'll be working
The successful applicant will be working with a dedicated team at Manning Base Hospital and may be asked to cover shifts at Wingham or Gloucester Hospitals. This position will be expected to work a 7 days 24 hour rotating roster.

Applicants must have a Security licence and have the ability to handle difficult situations with patients and visitors, remain calm and have de-escalation skills.
Sound communication skills required to liaise with a variety of staff and patients, be a team player and the willingness to learn or be trained for different roles, adapting to change at short notice without hesitation.
