In your new role as the Health, Wellbeing and Injury Manager you will be dedicated to fostering a workplace culture that prioritises the holistic Wellbeing and mental health of our employees. Your primary focus will be developing and driving comprehensive programs and initiatives that ensure the physical, emotional, and mental health of our workforce.
An all-rounder you will oversee various aspects of Workers' Compensation and Injury Management, Employee Services, Injury Prevention, Fit for Work Initiatives. You will drive and maintain Wellbeing Programs, Psychosocial Risk Management, and Occupational Safety and Health Monitoring. You will have a focus on creating a safe, supportive and healthy work environment. A self-starter, you will thrive in a busy and ever changing, fast paced environment.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications at degree or associate diploma occupational health and safety, human resources, or a related field.
- Professional certification in occupational health and safety, highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- In-depth knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of injury prevention strategies and ergonomic principles.
- Experience developing and implementing wellbeing programs and psychosocial risk management strategies.
- Experience in managing external providers, such wellbeing/health providers, drug and alcohol testing providers, insurance companies and EAP providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving positive change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make evidence-based decisions.
