We are currently seeking experienced HD Diesel Fitters interested in joining our team at the at the South Walker Creek Mine located 35 kilometres west of Nebo in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
The role
You will enjoy working in a varied role where you'll develop a broad range of skill in both the workshop and in the field including:
- Workshop - servicing, preventative and scheduled maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics & major component change outs.
- Field - breakdowns, fault finding, diagnostics & servicing.
Equipment on site
- Excavators Hitachi 3600,5500, 5600
- Haul Trucks Cat 789C, Komatsu 830
- Dozers D10, D11
- Graders 16, 24M
Role Requirements
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Standard 11
- Working at Heights & High-Risk Work Licence including Dogging, Rigging, C6 Crane & EWP highly desirable
- Proven heavy mobile earthmoving equipment experience in a production mining environment
- Experience with Caterpillar, Komatus and Hitachi equipment highly desirable
- Capacity to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent attitude towards safety and commitment to zero-harm
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Sound problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to pass Coal Board Medical, Functional Capacity Assessment and Drug & Alcohol screen
