AddressUtility helicopters is a leading helicopter training school based in Brisbane, known for providing the highest quality flight training programs. We have a great reputation within the industry and are currently seeking a suitable Flight Instructor to join our busy and energetic team. This is either a part-time or full-time position with an immediate start date.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Grade 2 or Grade 1 Instructor to join our team as a Utility Helicopter Instructor. As one of our instructors, you will play a crucial role in providing flight training to students at various stages of their private and commercial licenses. This includes conducting flight training with students and board briefs.
Working primarily from Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to accommodate weekend work based on personal preference, you will have the opportunity to shape your schedule. Our team values work-life balance and understands the importance of personal commitments. If you like travelling across our beautiful country then there may be an opportunity for you to do Away from Base training too!

Qualifications/ Experience/ Abilities Required:
The ideal candidate would be someone with experience as an instructor who has a track record of delivering education to students in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner.
While additional ratings are advantageous, they are not essential. We believe in providing opportunities to talented individuals who possess a positive attitude and passion for aviation. Supporting the growth of our employees is one of our top priorities.
Required:
- CASA Commercial Pilot License – Helicopter
- Instructor Rating Grade 2 or higher
- Possess excellent communication skills, the ability to engage students in a practical and classroom setting, and have a strong understanding of helicopter theory concepts
- Be a confident and patient person, committed to providing a supportive learning environment for our students

- Experience in the development and implementation of teaching and assessment plans.
Desirable Personal Qualities:
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms, with an ability to interact effectively with others.

- Deep knowledge of flight training concepts and principles.
- Competency in computer skills and presentation software.
- Ability to provide counselling, guidance, and advice to students.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
Interview/Skills Test:
Successful applicants will undergo the following:
- Interview (covering personal background, company knowledge and theory skills).
- Complete a CPL Helicopter Practice Exam (good background knowledge in all areas essential).
- Deliver a CPL Helicopter brief followed by a short flight demonstration.
