Tasks & Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between commercial tactics and organizational goals.
Manage and monitor the performance of reporting staff, identify their training needs, and arrange and supervise appropriate training interventions.
Ensure drivers understand company metrics and productivity targets.
Ensure the scheduling of all equipment for planned and preventive maintenance.
Maximise utilisation and return on all company assets.
Focus on operational changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial implications of strategic/tactical decisions.
Skills & Experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of the relevant state DG/EXP legislation.
Broad knowledge of DG/EXP vehicle transport requirements.
Trade or degree qualified preferred.
5 years leading a large team.
Financial acumen with a focus on cost management and revenue generation.
Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
