About The Role:
Consistent shifts that offer stability and the chance to have a real impact
All shifts have a minimum engagement of 5 hours
Various types of shifts available such as; In Home (daily living assistance), Community (Community access & engagement support) shifts within school hours and weekend shifts - something for everyone's availability
About You:
You are an exceptional communicator who is enthusiastic, innovative and positive about making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. You have experience with the following:
Personal care - Assist with showering and personal hygiene
Experience working with Mental Health NDIS participants
Household and domestic duties - cleaning and cooking
Supporting healthy routines and skill's development
Identify and support the physical, emotional and relational needs of participants
Extensive experience managing complex and challenging behaviors and ability to implement PBSP strategies when needed
Strong understanding of Australian culture
Keep accurate and complete records of activities via progress notes
Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
Support Worker must have the following:
Car and valid Australian driver's license
Vehicle insurance policy
Well spoken and written English
Must have or have recently applied for NDIS Worker Screening Check
Must have completed NDIS Orientation Module
Highly recommended to have Cert IV Disability or other relevant qualifications but not essential
Must have at least 6 months experience
Previous experience working with mental health clients
Previous experience working with behaviors of concern
Female support workers only due to client preference
