About the role
We’re looking for a Home Assessing Team Manager who will be based in our office in Silverwater, NSW. As a Team Manager at Youi, you’ll embrace rapid growth and the relentless fast pace that comes with it, juggling multiple priorities, and executing expertly. We’re looking for the full package, someone that is a dynamic problem solver, confident communicator, and has superior leadership skills and abilities in home insurance. With expert execution, there has never been a better time to shine whilst you inspire your team to delight our customers with a truly unique and genuinely awesome claims experience.
You will:
Coach, develop & monitor the performance of your team
Achieve KPI’s in terms of service, cost, and turnaround times
Monitor individual workloads and performances
Lead the day-to-day operation requirements of the assessing team
Effectively manage relationships with customers, assessors, tradespeople, builders, and internal stakeholders.
Review policy conclusions
Manage, problem solve and resolve issues, escalations, and work effectively with our Internal Disputes Resolution Team
Ensure compliance with legislation and insurance regulatory requirements
Be a self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and develop their current skills to maintain levels of excellence through times of change and show resilience in the face of a challenge
Create and foster a positive and collaborative culture

About you
The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience with Home Insurance Home Claims / Assessing or loss adjusting
Outstanding people management and leadership experience
Technical domestic building knowledge
Building construction experience desirable but not essential
A passion and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
A strong work ethic and a team player
A passion to learn and adapt to new challengers
Ability to manage competing priorities with a calm and professional approach
IT Savvy with competent use of Computer based applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, and general applications.
