Anglicare Southern Queensland is expanding and as a result, we are looking for passionate Home Care Workers to join our Booval team on a Part Time basis working across the Ipswich region. We love our clients and love what we do. Our work supports our clients to be the best they can be and live independently within their own homesA typical day in your new role….
  
Never be bored at work again! So much variety in the role, as you support our clients with:  
  • Personal grooming and hygiene; assistance with medication reminders and general self-care
  • Transport assistance to the supermarket, or to watch a local sports team
  • Assistance with domestic duties and general help around the house
  • Visits to the hairdresser, nail salons or the local café for a coffee
  • Outdoor activities, a gentle stroll, taking someone to the movies once a week or helping out in the garden
  • Food shopping, menu planning and meal preparation - or assisting with arts, crafts and new creations!

A bit about you….
  
To enable us to continue to provide high quality, client-centred care we are looking for dedicated, reliable and flexible workers who can work minimum 20 hours per fortnight.  

  • A fantastic attitude and genuine interest in helping others
  • A practical understanding of hygiene assistance and commitment of care
  • Understanding of physical limitations and a safe, sensible approach
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, sensitivity, and emotional stability
  • Strong communication and organisational skills - able to manage your time and support clients to do the same in an everyday capacity
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding care plans  
What you will bring...  
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Disability Services or similar field, including Module HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication and HLTAAP001 - Recognise healthy body systems (or commitment to obtain)
  • A current National Police Certificate
  • Open Queensland Driver Licence and your own, reliable vehicle   
  • Current COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
