About the Position
Anglicare’s Home & Community service offers a range of supports and assistance to a variety of local residents, including help at home, social inclusion and community connectedness.
As a Community Care Worker/Home Care Worker/AIN you support our clients by providing personal care as part of everyday living.
You improve the lives of our clients by providing:
Personal grooming and hygiene; assistance with medication reminders and general self-care
Transport assistance to the supermarket, or to watch a local sports team
Assistance with domestic duties and general help around the house
Visits to the hairdresser, Mani-Pedi’s or the local café for a coffee
Outdoor activities, a gentle stroll, taking someone to the movies once a week, or helping out in the garden
Food shopping, menu planning and meal preparation - or assisting with arts, crafts and new creations!
What we offer you:
Permanent part-time with 20hours minimum to work around your other commitments with hourly rate of $26.2177-$27.2387 depending on years of service.
All leave entitlements and the ability to purchase extra annual leave
Reimbursement for travel and fuel costs when travelling from one client to another
Salary sacrificing – you pay less tax and increase your take home pay through RemServ, access up to $15,900 a year + $2650 for meals and entertainment

You will:
Be compassionate, caring and enjoy making a positive impact in the lives of our elderly clients
National Police Check applied for within last 6 months
completed Certificate 3 in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability is essential
2022 Flu Vaccination
Own vehicle/Current Queensland Drivers Licence
Current COVID-19 Vaccination certificate
