About the role
We are searching for dedicated and passionate people to join our Toowoomba Home Care team as Qualified Home Care Workers. A Home Care Worker is responsible for providing our clients with assistance, support and encouragement of independence to live in their chosen community.
In this varied role you will:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, for example showering, dressing and continence care;
- Help clients with cleaning, shopping, meal preparation and other light housework;
- Assisting clients by transporting them to appointments and undertaking personal shopping;
- Assisting with medication;
- Support in the development of a consumer driven care plan.
About you
This role will be ideal for people who are caring, empathetic and seeking a career that will make a difference. You will be someone who enjoys taking the time to build relationships with our clients.
To be suitable for this position, you will have:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent;
- A current driver's licence and willingness to use own insured and reliable vehicle for work purposes (km's paid);
- Physical capacity to carry out the duties required, including house and manual work;
- A current First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willingness to complete;
- Possess, or have the willingness to obtain, a National Police Check.
Under Churches of Christ policy and/or the applicable public health directions, team members are required to be vaccinated for Covid-19.
