POSITION
Full-time position for a Horticultural Supervisor available in Japoonvale QLD 4856.
SKILLS
You require at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role as the Horticultural supervisor is to supervise the daily tasks of the farm and assist the managers with completing the farm operations and responsibilities.
DUTIES
The position will require the following duties:

• Consultancy and planning with business owner to meet objectives.
• Delegating tasks and supervising the work of farm hands.
• Arranging transport of workers to different farm locations.
• Ensuing staff have the required tools and equipment for scheduled work.
• Monitoring the harvest of banana bunches to ensure correct supply for packaging.
• Organising and supervising the transportation for banana bunches.
• Supervising the hanging, cutting, de-handing and washing of banana bunches.
• Training new staff as to required duties for their position.
• Monitoring hours, breaks and performance and reporting any staff issues.
• Monitoring packing line to ensure smooth flow and no delays between stations.
• Overseeing the work of farm hands and ensuring work deadlines are met.
• Ensuring pack banana boxes are stacked, labelled and packed for transport.
• Ensuring routine maintenance is carried out and arranging repairs are made when necessary.
• Ensuring waste materials are disposed of correctly.
• Ensuring and enforce compliance with food safety and OH&S.
• Ensuring quarantine management to stop possible infection and detection of Panama Tropical Race 4 (TR4).
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.

SALARY
The salary offered will be $60,000 to $ 70,000 per annum based on your experience.
