The Position:
This role will require working very closely alongside a dedicated Assistant Accountant, which you will have the opportunity to mentor, lead and develop. Sitting within a broader finance team, you will also be afforded support and guidance from your peers and management staff.
Some of your key responsibilities within the role will be:
Looking after the end-to-end accounting for multiple venues within the business
GL reconciliations, journals, accruals
Mentoring and guiding the Assistant Accountant
Preparation and commentary on management reports for Senior Leadership and Venue Managers
Tax compliance and reporting
Checking and reviewing the integrity of data and reports Your Profile:
To be considered for this role, you will need to be CPA/CA recently qualified or part-qualified. You should have experience with end of month accounting and reporting. It will be extremely advantageous if you have worked on large ERP systems such as Dynamics, however it is not a pre-requisite. Previous experience in the hospitality industry would also be advantageous To truly thrive in this role, you will need to have phenomenal communication and interpersonal skills.
Your strong background in financial accounting, coupled with a hands-on, proactive approach will be critical if you are to fit in well with the team. You should also be quite passionate about systems and how they can impact the business for the better. Strong Excel skills will be imperative. You will also be able to demonstrate a high level of initiative and confidence.
