Cairns Queens Court is currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Hotel Front Office Receptionist / Reservations Specialist.
As a Front Office Receptionist, you will be the face of our hotel, responsible for creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests. Not only will you handle guest arrivals and departures with grace and efficiency, but you will also assist with room reservations and inquiries, ensuring that our guests have all the information they need to make their stay enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a warm and professional manner, providing a friendly and helpful first impression.
- Check-in and check-out guests efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation and payments are processed accurately.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
- Assist guests with room reservations, providing detailed information about room types, rates, availability, and hotel amenities.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring that all necessary supplies are well-stocked.
- Collaborate closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and effective communication.
- Utilise hotel management software (RMS) to manage room bookings, maintain guest records, and produce accurate reports.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar customer service role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong command of English.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer software, including booking systems, Microsoft Office, and email.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A high level of professionalism and integrity, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- A positive and team-oriented attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
