Working closely with the National Human Resource Manager, you will deliver efficient and high-quality process related HR tasks across the employee life-cycle. This role is critical in ensuring effective internal customer support, continuing to drive the success of the HR function across the business.
The role is part-time, required for 15 - 20 hours per week dependent on candidate availability.
This role is well suited to a current university student looking for a part-time position to complement their HR studies. This unique role will allow you to gain practical HR administration experience in a workplace environment and develop your skills through exposure to multiple facets of HR. Alternatively, this role would also be a great fit for an experienced HR Administrator/HR Officer who is looking for a part-time position.
A typical day might look like this;
- Monitor the HR inbox and provide first level support for HR queries, escalating where necessary;
- End to end recruitment tasks including advert drafting, shortlisting, phone screening, reference checks, contract creation and on-boarding;
- Letter generation;
- Fortnightly HR reporting;
- Monitoring HR policies, processes and compliance issues;
- General administrative duties for the HR function;
- Creating employee files and maintaining the HRIS; and
- Working on People & Culture initiatives identified as priorities in line with the HR Strategy.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to:
- Have Administration or Human Resource support experience (advantageous but not necessary);
- Have the ability to build relationships effectively across all levels of the business with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Demonstrate exposure to Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Word) and have the ability to pick up new systems easily;
- Display great time management skills to manage competing priorities and to meet critical deadlines;
- Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy and a commitment to high quality work;
- High level of confidentiality and
- Flexibility on hours of work required.
