The Role:
Sitting within HR Operations, the HR Advisor will collaborate with business leaders and employees to provide professional and pragmatic generalist advice, coaching, and assistance across a broad range of HR matters. This integrated service model will contribute to support an agile and innovative culture through effectively case managing HR matters to deliver quality, commercially focussed and customer-driven outcomes.
This role will see you working in a highly experienced generalist capacity, where you will provide assistance to business leaders regarding design and restructuring requirements, organisational effectiveness, monthly analytical reporting, case management (performance management, coaching, investigations), and more complex general enquiries. You will write position descriptions job analyses and have had exposure to job evaluations, preferably using the Hay Methodology.
With flexi-working and a 9 or 10 day fortnight in place, the bottom of the salary bandstarts from $119,083 for 9 days and $134,564 for 10 days + 12.75% superannuation. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant’s knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2020.
About You:
In addition to your Bachelor Degree in Human Resources (or relevant discipline), you have significant demonstrable HR generalist experience, with proven capability in the application of Australian employment legislation, industrial instruments, policies, procedures, and current HR practices in a changing organisational setting.
We are seeking someone who has upwards of 7 years of HR Generalist experience. During this time, you will have gained experience in creating position descriptions and completing job analysis, with experience or exposure to Hay Methodology for job evaluations. You have worked in an organisation where you were responsible for organisationaldesign and change management.
Data analysis, spreadsheeting, and the ability to complete HR reporting to support leaders with their people and culture initiatives are well within your capability, as well as having the ability to deliver presentations and contribute ideas in team workshops.
Finally, your highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills will support your success in coaching effectively, positively influencing behaviour, and assisting in the resolution of conflicts with a diverse range of clients across all levels of the organisation. You have a demonstrated ability to maintain highly confidential information in a discrete, professional manner and, interact impartially and equitably.
