About the Role
The People & Culture Branch partners with the organisation to inspire an environment for great leadership and people capability to build our outstanding organisation for today and the future.
As HR Advisor (Talent Management) you provide advice and assistance in terms of contemporary attraction strategies and coordinating recruitment drives. As well as developing tailored retention initiatives to balancing business needs with market drivers.
This role will also provide HR advice and support services to both office and field-based workers and may be required to supervise staff in contract administration and other support activities.
Key duties include:
- Provide advice, coaching or guidance to client groups to particularly in areas relating to retention and attraction but also contract administration, and developing workforce plans.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding processes, providing advice on best practice, procedure and application of recruitment and selection tools tailored to the needs of the business and specific talent management programs.
- Provide support to the Senior HR Business Partners and HR Business Partners by researching and analysing workforce data, applying industrial instruments and policy to prepare responses and correspondence or inform HR advice.
- Provide advice and response to minor workplace grievances, performance, injury management and supporting disciplinary related matters including conducting investigations into minor conduct concerns or industrial disputes on pay and conditions.
- Provide HR advice on policy, procedure and industrial instruments to office and field based employees, assisting with the HR Business Partnering role as required.
The role is currently based in Nambour but will be relocated to Maroochydore towards the end of 2022.
About you
- You possess a relevant qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- You have demonstrated experience interpreting and applying industrial instruments and managing employee relations, such as grievances, injury management, investigations, performance and consultation during workplace change.
- You are experienced in talent management activities including attraction, recruitment, resourcing and retention.
- You possess strong interpersonal and relationship management skills capable of establishing trust, credibility and reliability to effectively coach, develop and influence inspiring leadership behaviour at all levels.
- Strong research and communication skills for preparing briefs, correspondence, policy and procedures, as well as versatile communication skills for communicating with all staff at all levels.
