We currently have a fantastic entry level opportunity to join the HR team in our Melbourne office. This role primarily acts to support the Payroll Officer in the timely delivery of the monthly payroll along with generalist HR activities, with a focus on recruitment. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the accurate calculation, collation and processing of the payroll (monthly)
- Acting as first point of contact for all people related queries for employees and managers
- Shortlisting candidates according to position/role requirements
- Providing support with recruitment by phone screening, coordinating interviews for Hiring Managers, reference checking and onboarding documentation
- Checking, collating and entering all leave applications.
Required experience:
- Would suit a recent graduate with a qualification in HR or someone with some administrative experience looking to step up into a HR/Payroll position
- Ability to handle confidential data and information with trust and integrity
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Thorough approach and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships internally and externally
- Committed, reliable and highly organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
