The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
The opportunity
Right now, we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a HR Truck Driver (Semi-Trailer) to join our Sealing Team based in Bega NSW.
You'll be required to carry out certain duties including but not limited to:
- competently operate trucks primarily designed for the haulage of bulk materials and fitted with hydraulic tipping gear
- Towing any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow
- Operate a HIAB or similar truck mounted crane
- General road working labour duties when needed
- In addition to the position's primary duties the Truck Driver (HR) will also operate as a Labourer and support the team as and when required.

About you
We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees while operating in a high speed, high traffic volume environment.
You will be competent in reversing capability whilst operating an automatic cockerel system for applying aggregate to hot bitumen spray sealing.
You have sound experience operating HIAB or similar truck mounted cranes and experience undertaking physical labouring duties.
You'll also have:
- A current and valid White Card
- A HR Driver License
- Experience and understanding of local road networks across the district
- Traffic control certifications or willingness to obtain
You're prepared to travel extensively throughout the West Region working a default 9-day fortnight work roster, and work at remote locations away from the base station including living away from home Monday to Friday.
Whilst not required, experience in operating plant (loader, bobcat, pad foot smooth drum) is advantageous but not essential.
Wage and Benefits
The wage for this position is Truck Driver HR ($1,342.60) per week plus superannuation.
