The Company employs more than 400 people in Queensland with one of the most varying workforces, from engineers, trades to healthcare professionals and all support services. With its Queensland head office located at the Brisbane, the company operates nine operational sites across regional Queensland
The Role:
This is not your standard role but has evolved overtime based on the demands of the business, and the skillset of the person in the role, who is going on maternity leave. The role is with the HR team and is a key support to the head of HR. For the next 12 months the key focus is predominantly supporting the EA negotiation and the following:
Research and analysis & Advice
Research latest EA trends and present findings to leaders and key stakeholders
Conduct Competitor analysis of EA terms and conditions, presenting findings to key stakeholders
Research external factors including economic and market trends impacting EA bargaining (e.g. WPI, CPI increases) to inform bargaining and wage increases
Support leaders develop classification/pay structures and complete mapping of current staff to inform costings
Provide general employee relations advice regarding proposed changes to EA terms
Project Coordination & Communication
Schedule regular meetings with external consultant and internal stakeholders
Create and maintain project timelines, outlining key process steps and dependencies
Draft email communications to staff (including CEO and exec comms)
Manage EA inbox for staff communications, responding to staff queries in a timely manner
Implementation
Liaise with Payroll department and other key stakeholders to prepare implementation plan and schedule of work
Liaise with P&C Operations teams to draft relevant paperwork for employees regarding individual impacts following EA implementation
Draft or revise company policies, procedures and guidelines as necessary
Liaise with Finance to ensure organisational budgets are updated accordingly
About You:
Degree qualified HR, Business, or related
Demonstrated experience as EA specialist or had exposure to EA and awards
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders, and work with competing priorities
A positive, proactive and practical approach
